LiceAlert is community driven. When someone creates an alert, they must agree that they have direct knowledge of lice and that they are not using the alert system maliciously. We record the I.P. address of those submitting lice alerts. If it is proven that an alert was created maliciously and that lice was not contracted at the named facility, the alert will be removed. Anyone caught abusing the alert system will be banned. Just because you have not had an experience with lice at the reported facility does not mean lice was not contracted there. Lice often goes unreported.

Recent policy changes at schools across the nation have contributed to an increase in lice contraction. We hope that, through LiceAlert, communities can reduce the spread.
